The 12367 service platform system will provide unified language and business two-tier voice navigation options for callers, and intelligently flow for incoming matters according to the actual needs of callers and geographical location.
When dialing 12367 from within the country, the system will provide the caller with two language options, Chinese and English. For calls in Chinese, the system will provide the caller with three business options: “port clearance and border passage”, “entry and exit documents” and “suggestions”.
Select “port clearance and border passage” calls will be answered by the caller’s nearest border control authority service desk to handle.
The caller who selects “immigration document processing” will be answered by the caller’s local public security immigration department; the caller who selects “suggestions” will be answered by the immigration service center of the State Immigration Administration.
Calls in English will be answered by the NMS Immigration Service Center operator.
When you call 12367 from abroad, the system will transfer you to the service center of the State Administration of Migration to answer the call, providing three language options: Mandarin Chinese, Cantonese and English for overseas citizens, people from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, and foreigners to call.
The English version of the portal site of the State Administration of Migration is mainly set up with columns of immigration management highlights, policy documents, policy interpretation, notices and announcements, statistical data, office services, press conferences, immigration services, interactive exchanges, etc. It opens guidelines for visa, residence permit, accommodation registration and other business processing and office inquiry functions, and carries out online consultation and interaction by connecting to the 12367 service platform. At the same time, the website has also opened a column of “Immigration Services”, including three topics such as “Guidelines for Living Services”, “Chinese Language Learning” and “Foreigners in China”. “It will provide guidance and counseling on clothing, food, housing and transportation for foreigners in China to understand China, facilitate their work and life, and create a good atmosphere of openness, civilization, friendship and tolerance.
